Candidate for County Commissioner
The entire Frederick Community will plan the Future of
Frederick County … Together! Every group will have equal
representation and together will design Frederick for the next
100years. The plan will be stringent enough to be fair to all
involved … yet open … encouraging new ideas.
Schools will be built in a timely manner, not “Backwards”, after
we need them. We will depend less on State Mandates and more on
Common Sense to get ahead of the curve on School Construction.
Road Construction will keep pace with development. Public
Transportation will improve and become a realistic option.
Brunswick, Thurmont, Walkersville, etc., are all a part of
Frederick County. We must work together to plan long term for
our combined goals. Adequate Public Facilities: Schools, Water,
Sewer, Roads, Parks, and Libraries must be planned jointly for
the good of all of Frederick County.
Teachers, First Responders, and our workforce will have an
opportunity to own a Home in Frederick County and be a part of
our community. We will use our Moderately Priced Dwelling unit
Program to attract and keep top talent in Frederick County.
Seniors on a fixed income will be able to live here and afford
their taxes. Modifying their existing home so they can “age in
Place” will become easier.
Many forget that Frederick City is in Frederick County. I will
make it a priority to see that Frederick City becomes the “place
to be” for arts and entertainment. A vibrant downtown is the key
for attracting new businesses to Frederick County and making
Frederick County become the tourism Hot Spot in Maryland.
Outside … Frederick County will be the place to be “Outside” in
Maryland. We have the Monocacy River, Potomac River, 17,000
Acres of Contiguous parkland, Numerous Roads for carefree biking
thru acres upon acres of rolling hills and farmland, Dirt roads,
Covered Bridges, and all the Mountain Biking and hiking trails
you could ever need. Protecting our Natural Environment thru
education, involvement, and access will become a priority.
Jobs: We will foster a relationship with the business community
to keep the good jobs that we have from leaving! Bringing new,
high paying jobs to Frederick County will be a priority.
